Top moments from Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime performance

The Associated Press' Jonathan Landrum Jr. joins LiveNOW's Andy Mac to discuss Bad Bunny's performance at halftime of Sunday's Super Bowl.

And the numbers are in.

The buzz (and divisiveness) surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show featuring Bad Bunny and Turning Point USA’s alternate "All-American" show had some wondering which one was viewed the most.

Here are the estimates:

Bad Bunny’’s halftime show v. TPUSA’s show

Bad Bunny

By the numbers:

Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel shared that viewership of Bad Bunny’s halftime show averaged at 128.2 million viewers from 8:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET, making it the fourth-most watched halftime show in recorded history.

  • Kendrick Lamar: 133.5 million (2025)
  • Michael Jackson: 133.4 million (1993)
  • Usher: 129.3 million (2024)
  • Bad Bunny: 128.2 million (2026)

Total social media consumption of Bad Bunny's halftime show set a record of 4 billion views after the first 24 hours, according to the NFL and Ripple Analytics. That is a 137% increase over last year.

The social media figures include fans, owned platforms, broadcast partners and influencers.

The NFL said over 55% of all social views came from international markets.

Viewership of the actual football game averaged 124.9 million viewers with a peak of 137.8 million viewers on NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL+, according to Nielsen.

TPUSA

By the numbers:

Viewership during TPUSA’s alternate "All American" halftime show garnered about 5 million viewers as it was streamed live on YouTube.

About 24 hours after the show ended and the video of the performance was posted in full on TPUSA’s YouTube account, it had garnered about 19 million views, according to BillBoard.

LiveNOW from FOX reached out to TPUSA for their official viewership estimates.

According to YouTube figures, there have been 21,208,583 views of the alternate halftime show through Tuesday night, according to the conservative organization's page. Bad Bunny's show has already had 61,311,972 views.

Nielsen did not measure any of the YouTube live stream viewership. Of the linear networks that carried it, the only one Nielsen measures is broadcast network Charge!

What's next:

Full Nielsen ratings for the prior week will be released on Wednesday and full global viewership for the halftime show will be available early next week.

Super Bowl LX

The backstory:

The Seattle Seahawks won the championship on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

The score was 29-13.

The Patriots failed to win the franchise’s seventh Super Bowl, which would have set an NFL record. They’re tied with the Steelers with six championships.

The last time the Seahawks won a Super Bowl was in 2014.
