8-year-old struck by car in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH - An 8-year-old girl was injured after being hit by a vehicle in the 3800 block of North Harding in Fort Worth this afternoon.

Family says the girl was playing with a friend in the street when she was hit.

MedStar officials confirm the crash happened around 2 P.M. on Saturday. The child has been transported to Cook Children's Hospital.

She is expected to be okay.

No word yet on what led to the crash or if any charges are pending.
