CROWLEY, Texas - The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office says three people died, and two others were critically injured in a four-vehicle crash that happened Monday.

What we know:
The crash happened at 8:20 p.m. in the 8700 block of Highway 1187 near Crowley.
When deputies arrived, they found the three deceased people. The two others were taken to the hospital and were listed in critical condition.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified one of the deceased victims as 52-year-old Marisol Villalobos, who was on her way home from visiting her daughter at Tarleton State University.
A helicopter was also flown in.
Two other people were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Signs are left behind from a Labor Day triple-fatal crash along Highway 1187, southwest of Benbrook Lake in Tarrant County. Car parts, spray paint, gloves and neck braces from paramedics.

Investigators say four vehicles were involved in the crash on Monday evening.
But before multiple fire responders arrived on scene, drivers who witnessed the wreck tried to save the victims.
"We got out to take a look to see what was going on, and it was just tough to see," said nearby homeowner, Aaron Roberson.
"You know, mangled and crushed, and one car was on fire."
Roberson says more neighborhoods means more traffic cutting through on Highway 1187, and with that, more crashes are just around the corner.
"It’s just a very dangerous spot to be in," he said.
"It really puts it in perspective for me. That when I am driving I have got to pay attention."
What's next:
Tarrant County investigators are still trying to figure out the exact cause.
We are still waiting for the other two killed to be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officials have not released the names of the other victims.
