Peach Cobbler

Chef Jermaine Brown from Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine helps Good Day celebrate National Peach Cobbler Day. The Plano restaurant is offering $5 slices of cobbler with coffee or tea.

Peach Cobbler 

9ea Fresh Peaches
½ cup Sugar
½ cup Brown Sugar
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons corn starch

Cake Topping

1 ½ cup All Purpose flour
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
6 tablespoon butter
½ cup water

Pre heat oven 350

Peel peaches, de-seed and slice.

In a bowl mix top half ingredients together and add to peaches, mix together until peaches are coated Place peaches in a cast iron skillet, put in oven for 15min until peaches are somewhat tender.

While peaches are in oven, mix cake topping in bowl all together with a rubber spatula like cookie dough.

Take peaches out of oven, with a spoon drop dough on top of peaches leave space the topping will spread place in oven for 12 min.
