Ups, Downs and Storms!

First comes the warmth....then the storms! Big weekend changes on the way!

South winds that started yesterday, continue this morning. Throw in some upper level clouds and you will find it's nowhere near as cool this morning. Even with partly sunny skies, we'll still make it into the lower 80s today.

A stronger disturbance comes in Friday with mostly cloudy skies and a stronger south breeze. a few showers can't be ruled out (a couple in the morning, then most in the afternoon). Highs still in the low 80s and more humid.

Saturday will be quite humid. Stronger winds, low clouds breaking for sun and highs in the mid 80s. While a passing shower (20%) is possible in the afternoon mainly east of Dallas...we'll be watching for a strong cold front late at night.

Storms will initially form in OKLAHOMA near sunset and then build down the front overnight into a squall line. Damaging winds are possible. Time frame looks to be 10pm-midnight to our northwest with the main threat being midnight to 6am.

Storms should clear quickly early Sunday AM...with clouds clearing up by afternoon. Windy too. Highs mid 70s.

Right now, next week starts mild (70s to near 80) then a strong but DRY front blasts through Tuesday AM. Low 70s Tuesday and 60s possible Wednesday with lows in the 40s!
