What they're saying:
Duguay's girlfriend, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, shared his death on social media. She said he died after a "hard fought" battle with cancer. His family started a GoFundMe earlier this year to offset the costs of travel and cancer treatments.
"It's with a shattered heart but also deep peace knowing Ron is with Jesus now," Palin posted on social media. "He fought so hard. Love never ends."

We join the hockey community in sending our condolences to [his] friends, family and loved ones during this difficult time."
