According to the latest Pentagon Defense Casualty Analysis System report published Sept. 29, five service members have died and 443 have been injured since the start of Overseas Operations on July 7.
In July, the Pentagon added a new "Overseas Operations" category for casualties from July 7 following the White House announcement on May 5 that Operation Epic Fury had concluded following the establishment of regional ceasefires and operational shifts.

The U.S. Army says Capt. Bianca C. Wilkerson, 37, of Norfolk, Va., died Sept. 18.
Wilkerson was assigned to the Intelligence and Security Company, Troop 3, Headquarters, U.S. Army Central Command, Shaw AFB, South Carolina.
The Washington Post reports Wilkerson suffered a medical emergency while flying to the Middle East.
3 U.S. Army soldiers killed in Iranian missile and drone attack
The Pentagon says three U.S. Army soldiers were killed in action in July during an Iranian missile and drone attack at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan.

Swinton was assigned to D Battery, 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
