Rain chances for some at the start of the week

A little unsettled, with storms for SOME to start the week, and the usual heat and humidity to finish.

A complex of storms will be weakening on the way in this morning, but will still yield some rain, esp. west of I-35W. The remnants may still produce a shower later am-noon in the Metroplex, and the leftover "spin" in the atmosphere could produce a shower or storm from I-35E and east this afternoon. We'll see some sun return to heat things up back above 90 later today.

Overnight into Tuesday AM, another strong disturbance will move in from the NW and trigger showers and storms (some strong) for about half the area. They will diminish in the morning...and depending on how long they linger will determine if we see any more in the afternoon. If they linger longer, PM hours will be dry...and heat into the low 90s.

By mid-week, heat and humidity return as high pressure gradually noses in. There may be enough of a weakness in it to produce a few storms east Wednesday before it takes over... and it may weaken by Sunday to allow other storms to drop in from the north.

Otherwise, we'll expect highs in the mid-90s and the Heat Index to be near 100.
