Fans invited to attend AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament

Some of the PGA’s best are in North Texas this week for the 50th anniversary AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament.

Dallas native Jordan Spieth is among those who will play at Trinity Forest Golf Club in southeast Dallas.  Unlike the tournament’s previous location in Irving, this course is wide open with not a lot of trees.

Spieth has some advice for spectators who will be dealing with the weekend’s hot weather.

“I would probably go in that giant 360 grandstand that’s right off number 12 where you see 6, 16 and 12. You can see a number of shots. It’s just a lot of hydration. Um… lay off the sauce,” he joked.

The course also has several options for spectators who want to cool off including a shade structure, misting systems and air-conditioned spaces.

Trinity Forest Golf Club also has all the same extras that spectators have come to love about the AT&T Byron Nelson like the Pavilion, KidsZone, Grey Goose 19th Hole Lounge and great golf.

The public gets in free Wednesday for the pro-am and practice. First responders can get in free at any time.

The tournament tees off Thursday morning with Spieth’s first round shortly before 1 p.m.
