Star Wars fans in Dallas ready for movie premiere

The wait is almost over for Star Wars fans.

The first showings of “Episode Seven: The Force Awakens” are Thursday night.

Before that, some fans in Dallas are getting into the Star Wars spirit by watching all six previous films.

AMC NorthPark started the movie marathon at 1 a.m.

“So I’m just excited to see what they do with this movie. It’s killing me. I’ve been waiting three years for this movie,” said Kenny Hooper.

“I’m getting excited. The prequels, I might sleep through them. I want to see the original three and waiting for The Force Awakens. So pumped, just a little tired right now,” added Mario Perez.

Most theaters will have extra security for the big premiere.

At AMC NorthPark, fans can wear costumes. But, no masks or prop weapons like lightsabers will be allowed.
