Police investigating aggravated robbery at Frisco home

Police are investigating a recent robbery that took place at a Frisco home.

Police responded Thursday afternoon to a home in the 1800 block of Countryside Drive regarding a call about a burglary.

When they arrived, a woman who lived there told them that she saw an unknown man standing near her front yard and sidewalk. He drove away, but she then heard a noise coming from her back yard.

At that point, she saw a man trying to climb the 8-foot privacy fence surrounding her property. When she confronted the man, he grabbed her and put a screwdriver to her neck.

The suspect took jewelry from the woman and then left, and the woman went to a neighbor's and called 911.

Police are advising residents to check their home surveillance video systems for any suspicious footage.

Homeowners are advised to call the police department's non-emergency number at  972-292-6010 to report anything.
