Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a May murder in Northwest Dallas. Police also released the identity of the victim.

Briana Williams, 22, was found murdered in a parking lot of a business on Zodiac Lane during the early morning hours of May 28. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

"Last Saturday makes one week since we buried her and we still don't know what happened," her mother Maxine Williams said.

Her daughter worked as a pharmacy technician after she left the Army. Maxine still can't believe Briana was murdered.

"If she was in the Army and they knocked on the door and say she died, I will say, 'She died doing what she liked,'" her mother said. "I would grieve but not like this."

Police believe that a man seen riding a motorcycle near the scene was responsible for her death. However, they don't know his identity and they are asking the public for help.

Maxine Williams hopes someone will come forward.

"If somebody out there watching this knows who did it, call the police and let them know," she said.
