Parts of Central Expressway closed in Plano this weekend

PLANO, Texas - Parts of Central Expressway near the Plano-Richardson border will be closed this weekend, meaning drivers in the area will have to find alternate routes.

The removal of the Plano Parkway bridge over 75 necessitates the closure, which will last from early Saturday morning until 5 a.m. on Monday. The highway will be closed in both directions from Renner Road to 15th Street, near the interchange with the President George Bush Turnpike.

Vehicles attempting to travel through the area will be diverted to service roads.
