Officer celebrates Granbury toddler's birthday he helped deliver
GRANBURY, Texas - A little girl from Granbury had a special guest at her first birthday party.
Tarrant County Deputy Constable Mark Diebold was at the tea party for Evelyn Hall.
Last year, Evelyn’s parents, Destiny and Caleb, couldn't make it to the hospital in time so Diebold helped deliver her in a gas station parking lot.
The constable pulled the couple over after he noticed them speeding.

"I was trying to be safe and not weave in and out of traffic, but I was probably going about 80-85 mph,” Caleb told FOX 4 in a 2016 interview. “I was like just stop pushing, kind of a hold it in I guess. I don't know.”
Once Diebold realized what was happening, he tried to escort them to the hospital. But Evelyn had other plans.
“It was an amazing moment for me,” Diebold said. “Definitely wasn’t something I expected on my way into work.”
The couple honored the constable with photographs of the newborn in Diebold's uniform and badge. One year later, they honored him again with a tea party photo shoot.
The toddler's mom says they've gotten so close with the deputy that her kids even call him Uncle Mark.
"The tea party was definitely a bonding moment for her and Uncle Mark," Destiney said. "She thoroughly enjoyed clinking her tea cup with him and she continued laughing with him after the photo shoot. It was fun to watch!"
