Greenville Avenue building housing liquor store catches fire

DALLAS - The building that houses a popular liquor store in northeast Dallas caught fire Thursday morning.

There were visible flames with smoke coming from the attic when firefighters arrived at the building in the 5700 block of Greenville Avenue near Lovers Lane just before 6 a.m.

Sigel's Fine Wines & Great Spirits is on one side of the building. Firefighters seemed to be concentrating most of their efforts on the side that has a "for lease" sign on it.

Greenville Avenue was shut down in both directions between Southwestern Avenue and Lovers Lane.

There’s no word yet on the cause but investigators do believe it was accidental. No one was hurt.
