Hometown Heroes: Jeans 4 Teens

It's blue jean joy at Kimball High School and Robert T. HIll Middle School -- DISD students are collecting new and washed blue jeans for homeless people.

The jeans will be given to New Beginnings Center in Garland.

Kimball students have collected 2,012 blue jeans for children, teens and adults. The students at both schools are learning the value of looking beyond themselves to help others.

Olliedra Foppe, the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism teacher at Kimball, says the blue jeans represent hope for kids and adults in need in North Texas.

This blue jean drive will last until February 28. If you'd like to donate jeans of any color or size, go to Kimball High School, 3606 S. Westmoreland Road, Dallas, 75232 or call 972-502-2100.

You can also go to  Robert T. Hill Middle School, 505 Easton Rd., Dallas, 75218 or call 972-502-5700.
