Four teens shot after fight breaks out near Garland park

Four teens were shot near a Garland park after a fight broke out between two groups.

Garland police responded Hall Park on Rivercrest Lane Tuesday afternoon after several calls about gunshots in the area.

When police got to the scene, they found three teens with gunshot wounds. Two of them were taken to the hospital, and one was treated at the scene and released.

While investigating the shooting, police were told a fourth teen who was shot was being treated at Baylor.

Police say the teens were 13, 14, 18, and 19 years old. They believe two groups confronted each other in the Bosque and Lavaca area to fight when one group began shooting, hitting four teens.

The conditions of the teens have not been released. Police have not named any suspects.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact the Garland Police Department.
