Family of missing woman holding out hope

More than three dozen people turned out to search for woman that's been missing for nearly three weeks now. The family of pleasant grove mother Marisol Espinosa refuses to give up hope.

Family members say the mother of three young children simply vanished after leaving for work the morning of December 29th. Three days after her disappearance family members found her SUV at an apartment complex, three miles from her home.

Dozens of family, friends, co-workers, clients and even strangers came to help search for clues. Volunteers searched the more than 200 acres of woods in Crawford Park in Pleasant Grove, close to where Espinosa went missing.

Karyn Cummings, Espinosa's hair dresser at a Northpark Center salon for the last 12 years, told FOX4, "like we said from day one, this is uncharacteristic of her.  We know something happened to her and she is a very special person and she is just somebody we can't let go of, until we know what happened."

"I hear all her friends talking about how nice she was and how caring of a person she, so it just makes you want to come out and help more." said Jim Holloway, a stranger to the family who felt compelled to help.

Espinosa's aunt, Veronica Walls says the family's faith keeps them going... But it is a struggle. "Knowing that somebody knows where she's at knows something about the situation and them not coming forward, so that's where my anger comes from." Walls said.

Espinosa has three young children ages nine, five and three. The youngest is too young to comprehend what's going on. "He looks for her, he sees her picture, he wants to know where she's at. He still thinks she's working but how much longer can we use that story?" said Walls.

Family members say they have raised 10 thousand dollars in reward money for anyone that has information that will lead them to Marisol.
