North Richland Hills police hope to find a serial bank robber accused of shooting an officer 15 years ago.

In March 2003, a heavily disguised man believed to be between 30 and 50 years old robbed a bank in Watauga.

He shot North Richland Hills Officer Jeff Garner, who was chasing him.

Officers said the same man robbed banks in Oklahoma, Kansas and other parts of Texas between 1998 and 2003. He also assaulted bank employees.

“Somebody out there knows who this individual is. I believe that it’s difficult for a person to use a childlike term to tattle tale on someone. But we believe there is someone who knows who this person is,” said Det. Eric Whitlock with the North Richland Hills Police Department.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $13,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
