Dallas police hope a $5,000 reward will help them solve a man’s murder.

32-year-old Alvin Joseph was shot in the face one month ago while walking his dog in Far Northeast Dallas.

He was a father of 8-year-old twin girls, whom his family says were the center of his world. Joseph’s relatives remember him as a young man who saw the good in everyone, and say they can’t understand why anyone would want to kill him.

The shooting happened near his apartment in early March, in the 9900 block of Adleta Boulevard. Joseph died in the hospital two days later.

Joseph’s family says the shooter did not take his phone or wallet, leaving them with even more questions.

“That's the hardest part about this. Why would someone want to hurt him?” said Joseph’s mother Pamela.
