Arlington PD investigation into Christian Taylor death completed, sent to district attorney

The Arlington Police Department announced Friday it has finished its investigation into a deadly police shooting at a car dealership in August.

Rookie officer Brad Miller shot and killed 19-year old Christian Taylor at Classic Buick-GMC. The case has been sent to the Tarrant County District's Attorney's office to be presented to a grand jury.

Taylor broke in, vandalized some cars and smashed his SUV through the showroom floor window. Taylor was unarmed but an autopsy shows he was high on a powerful designer drug that causes bizarre behavior.

Miller told the department Taylor ignored commands and advanced towards him.

Arlington's police chief fired Miller for not following proper procedure during the initial burglary investigation.

The DA's office said the only time table it can give on a grand jury decision is before the end of the year.
