3 shot outside Oak Cliff convenience store

DALLAS - A violent fight escalated into a triple shooting early Monday morning in east Oak Cliff.

The brawl over a loaded gun was all caught on surveillance cameras. It all started around 2:30 a.m. Monday at the Dream Food Market on Lancaster Road.

In surveillance video, a store employee is seen walking outside to check out the commotion. Then, the video shows two people, a man and woman, attack another man in a red shirt. The man takes a beating for a while. The video also captures another larger man in a white t-shirt join in the brawl - repeatedly kicking the man in the red shirt.

The store employee called 911 and tried to prevent the fight from spilling inside the store. At one point, the man in the red shirt and a man in a blue shirt appear to have something in their grasp as they struggle. Then, the man in the red shirt opened fire and takes another look as he shoots the gun into the store multiple times.

The employee was hit in the lower left leg. He was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital.

The man in the white shirt was hit in the lower back. The man in blue, according to police, was shot in the arm. He sat on the curb until police arrived.

It's unclear what started the fight in the first place. Police say the shooter and the woman seen in the video got away. One person was arrested in the incident.

The store owner said he's had the shop two years and this is the first time something like this has happened.
