2 arrested for burglarizing Brock High School

Two young men training for the Navy were arrested Thursday for burglarizing Brock High School.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Department said 20-year-old Sheldon Mowery and 18-year-old Kyle Alexander were taken into custody in San Antonio, where they were stationed at Fort Sam Houston.

The pair allegedly broke into the school this past weekend and took several projectors, computers, six Yeti cooler cups and 20 beef jerky sticks. They also caused significant damage and disabled a security system.

But one surveillance camera caught them entering the school. They were wearing military-style tactical gear and carrying firearms, the sheriff’s department said.

A tip from someone who called into Crime Stoppers helped investigators idenfity the suspects. A majority of the stolen items were recovered at the military base after the arrest, the department said.

Mowery is believed to be a former student from Brock High School.

Both men are charged with burglary of a building, a state jail felony. Their bond amounts were set at $15,000.
