2 shot during Dallas home invasion

Dallas police were called to a home in a neighborhood east of Fair Park early Wednesday morning because of a home invasion and shooting.

It happened just before 5 a.m. in the 3300 block of Lawnview Avenue. Police said a group of men broke into a parked car and then forced their way into a home.

The men ransacked the house and shot two people. One person was shot in the hand and the other in the stomach.

Police searched the neighborhood for two black males who were seen running from the house. They brought in K-9 officers and a helicopter, but were not able to find anything.

The victims were both taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

It’s not yet clear if the men stole anything from the home.
