Yes, more rain before it quiets down

NOT a Fun Friday, but a quiet COOL Christmas Holiday weekend to follow!

Today starts with FALLING temperatures (40s) and rising rain chances. The first of TWO batches of rain will move in this morning. There may be a few stronger storms SE of Dallas where warmer air still lingers.

There may be a few hours late AM-noon where there is LESS rain on the radar (but still showery) before the second batch comes in with the upper level storm. By then temps will fall into the UPPER 30s, so that rain will feel nasty! Wind chills may be in the upper 20s too...

Rain exits this evening and we'll stay just above freezing overnight, so there shouldn't be travel problems.

Saturday looks nice with mostly sunny skies and lighter winds. Highs low 50s.

A second gusty cold front moves through Sunday AM with highs upper 40s Metro north and 50s south. Some clouds will give way to increasing sun.

Christmas morning will start below freezing with light winds, but rebound into the low 50s with sun and some high clouds.

We turn cloudy Tuesday as another cold front moves in with patchy drizzle or a few light showers and at this point, next week just looks cool to chilly with lots of clouds and at least some RAIN by later in the week.
