Weekend HEAT, but with some HOPE!

Hey...it's gonna be HOT in Texas in July (Tell me something we don't know!) ...BUT it won't get worse, and some of us may see a shower or two! Feel better now, right?

HEAT ADVISORY continues through Saturday at least. Sunny, with just a few PM clouds today. Highs near 100, with the Heat Index up to 107 in spots.

Similar Saturday, near 100...some extra PM clouds...mainly DFW east, and if we are lucky, there might be a shower SE or east (10%).

By Sunday the HIGH pressure loses it's grip a bit and a disturbance on the Gulf spins up some extra moisture. Throw in heating (upper 90s) and we will see some PM storms (20%) ...some with gusty winds. Heat Index will still be near 105.

We'll watch a weak cold front in Oklahoma Monday which may also kick off some storms (best chances DFW north) with highs again in the upper 90s.

By the middle of next week, high pressure starts to regain control...and 100 degree temps look to return.
