Severe thunderstorms rolled through North Texas early Thursday morning. If you slept through them, you must have been very tired!

The strong winds came with heavy rain and some hail. Several FOX 4 viewers shared pictures of the hail that fell in northern Tarrant County.

Haslet had hail covering the ground. It was mostly marble-sized but some viewers saw hail as big as golf balls.

The severe thunderstorm warnings that were issued for Dallas, Tarrant, Denton and Collin counties have all expired.

FOX 4 Meteorologist Evan Andrews said now that the front has passed, we’re in for a chilly Thursday. Temperatures will hang around in the 40s through the day.

On Friday morning, the temperature will drop below freezing and a cold weekend is in store for North Texas with rain chances increasing Sunday.
