Summer Still on Hold... For Now!

Still pretty nice for August...although we are heating back up. And considering our large area here? Someone will have a rain chance every day!

Today will be pretty pleasant behind yesterday's weak cold front. Humidity will drop slowly PM as we heat up to a hair over 90. There will be just enough lift to create a few PM showers mainly from DFW south and east.
Tomorrow will be similar, although a bit warmer. Moisture will still be close enough to produce a few showers with heating mainly SE of Dallas.

By later this week, two things will be happening. High pressure will build over central Texas to heat us up AND the flow over Oklahoma will be strong enough to produce storms to our north. Therefore, we'll see temps back into the mid 90s Thu and upper 90s Fri-Sat with the heat index well over 100...even up to 105. Storms will be possible especially on the red river, and to a lesser extent...just north of DFW.

By Sunday, a stronger system will develop and push a front down. That pattern shift will increase the coverage of storms...some strong later in the day Sunday and Sunday night as lower temps again invade by early next week!
