Storms Continue For Some

One last day of storm chances before the HEAT kicks in!

This AM finds storms continuing mainly south of the DFW area with very heavy rain the main threat. Some of these may pulse backwards through noon, so we keep about 40% coverage in...then that will diminish PM to 20% as energy heads east. Highs still low 90s with the Heat Index near 100.

A ridge of high pressure builds in starting tomorrow through most of this week. With wet ground initially...it will be more humidity than heat, but as the week progresses, it will be HEAT + HUMIDITY. Highs go from mid 90s to upper 90s to near 100 (esp FTW west) later this week. Late Friday, storms may form in Oklahoma along a weak cold front that will drop in here Saturday. At this point, we'll leave 20% storm chances...although that may change. But we should trend back down closer to normal by Sunday.
