More Showers, More "Cool" August Temps!

Image 1 of 2

Are we SURE this is a Texas forecast in August? Seems surreal. It's all about "less heat" and "showers for some" going forward.

We start today with a scattering of showers (with heavy downpours) that will diminish during the morning. Coverage 30%, but will increase again with heating from noon through afternoon. Highest coverage from DFW west and south (40-50%) with much lower coverage NE.

Clouds will break a bit to allow highs upper 80s. Friday skews slightly drier..but still 20-30% showers esp DFW west and south. Highs closer to 90.

The weekend forecast still depends on "Harvey" but now it appears it will stay in South Texas, so impacts for MOST of us will just be some clouds. Best rain chances (30%) will be in southern and SW counties well south of the MPLEX.

Unusual north and northwest flow will continue into next week which means temps closer to 90 than 100!
