Last "Less than Hot Day" for a while!

Don't count August out just yet...more heat & humidity to come! (More storms too...)

Today still falls into the "pleasant for summer" category. not cool but still a few degrees below average with highs low 90s. Light winds have prompted air pollution watches , and any morning clouds will break for sun. Only shower chances are SE counties.

Thursday heats up into the mid 90s. Light winds likely mean another air pollution watch, as well as increasing humidity and a Heat Index over 100. Any showers should be confined to areas east of Dallas.

Things get more interesting Friday and Saturday on two fronts. FIRST...it will be hotter and just as humid. Upper 90s both days with a heat index inching closer to 105. SECOND, there will be storms in Oklahoma both days which could easily get to the Red River or even northern counties (Wise-Denton-Collin-Hunt) before diminishing. So we leave that possibility open.

By Sunday afternoon...a weak cold front will settle into North Texas...especially north of the Metroplex. That will be a trigger for storms for Sunday and Monday...possibly even Tuesday before we start to dry out by the middle of next week.
