Last Day of Storm Chances (for a while...)

Image 1 of 2

Getting back to more "normal" August weather, but only for a few days!

Today it gets HOT in a hurry! More sun, light winds...upper 90s with a HEAT INDEX 105-106. Pretty rough.

Scattered storms (20%) will build in the afternoon before dying off quickly before sunset as the last in a series of disturbances hangs near the area.

As high pressure build in Sunday, we'll just see some PM clouds build. Still upper 90s. Maybe a bit less muggy in the afternoon.

Monday looks slightly "less hot" still mid to upper 90s for those venturing outdoors to see the ECLIPSE.90s for those venturing outdoors to see the ECLIPSE.

Tuesday continues hot and dry but we will watch for another COLD FRONT to enter NTX Wednesday with fairly decent shower/storm chances PM-eve hours. Timing will always change a bit, but this should move through with lower temps...closer to 90 by the end of the week! The storm chances will depend on whether the front stalls or gets through the area...thinking it will stall out, so that should keep things hopping here in NTX!
