Heat hangs on... but fall isn't far away

Fall is getting closer...but not just yet! Hot weekend for many...

After some morning cirrus clouds (from dying showers west), we'll start mild and finish HOT with highs near 90 and a south breeze PM.

Storms in WEST TEXAS will form this evening and approach overnight but die out quickly before reaching the Metroplex Saturday AM. Areas NW could get a shower or two. The clouds will be around in the morning before turning partly sunny as a weak cold front drops in. Highs will range from near 80 NW to the mid 80s Metro to 90 southeast.

Sunday heats right back up from comfortable 60s early to near 90 PM.

Next week's picture is now starting to become clearer. A strong FALL COLD FRONT will make it here. Monday will be breezy and HOT (low 90s) with 20% storms later in the day or in the evening as the front heads through.

Tuesday will now be the cool day we had been expecting earlier (then changed to less cool). Windy with clouds thinning out PM. Highs low 70s!

After 50s Wed AM, looks nice in the mid 70s before warming back into the 80s late week.
