"Fall" Takes An Extended Break From North Texas

Thanks to a "cold" front Friday, slightly drier and cooler air moves into North Texas to start the weekend. North winds Saturday, will make it the most comfortable day, as highs climb into the low to mid 80s. By Sunday, breezy south winds take hold, which helps temperatures climb back into the 90s.

Heading into next week, no major relief is in sight. Monday will be the hottest day of the week, as high temperatures reach the mid 90s ahead of a weak front. This front may bring a few showers late in the day to areas southeast of Dallas/Fort Worth, but almost all of North Texas will remain dry.

High pressure builds in for the rest of the work week, keeping the area dry and unseasonably warm. Expect a fair amount of sunshine each day, with morning lows near 60 and afternoon highs near 90 degrees.
