"Let's get ready to Rumble!" (Not storms, but Whipping Winds and Wild Temperature Swings!)
Today is a bit chilly. Still a lot of clouds this morning. Winds coming off the Arctic air mass up north will keep highs in the 40s today. During the afternoon, as winds swing to the east..drier air should eat some of the clouds away, especially from Dallas east.
Stronger south winds develop tonight. Temps will hold in the 40s all night with some patchy drizzle by morning.
Friday AM will be dreary, windy and mild as temps rise into the 50s. Clouds will break PM with VERY strong 30 mph winds. They will push highs into the 60s from Dallas east and above 70 from FTW west.
Saturday starts very warm and windy...gets into the 70s most areas...even near 80 south! Then the ARCTIC COLD FRONT plows in. Noon Red River....2-3pm Metro. Temps will tumble into the 40s by sunset and into the 20s by morning with howling winds and wind chills in the teens. A few flurries are possible north of 380 but these will not be significant.
Sunday is WINDY and cold, but enough sun should get us back above freezing before we head into the low 20s and upper teens by Monday AM.
Next week now looks quiet with a gradual warming trend . Upper 30s Monday...40s Tue and 50s by mid-week.
