A look at Harvey's impact on your weekend weather

Harvey has decreased in intensity to a weak Cat 1, BUT the forward speed is just 2 mph... meaning the flood threat with this storm could be extremely dangerous for our southern neighbors.

As for North Texas impacts, we're already seeing the outermost bands moving into areas south of I-20 where rain chances today will be at least 60%. Areas north of I-20 will see 30-40% chances.

These chances continue for the rest of the weekend with highs only in the mid 80s.

How much rain will we see? Great question... unfortunately the answer varies greatly depending on your location and Harvey's behavior. Best chances for flooding rains will be our extreme SE counties while the rest of the area could see 1-2" south of the I-20 corridor.

Areas north may still see showers, but not as heavy.

Next week's forecast is a doozy. If Harvey moves west or east or south, we will see little impacts. North? Then the forecast changes dramatically. At this point, highs stay in the upper 80s with 20% chance of rain, but stay tuned as the forecast could change.
