A little more Heat & Humidy...and more Srorms too!

The unusual summer weather rolls on, even though we will be heating up into the weekend...

One last disturbance this morning has kept clouds and even some very small showers alive from DFW east. It will exit PM hours, so we will see the sun return with highs low 90s BUT HIGH HUMIDITY. It will feel worse (upper 90s). There still may be a spotty shower or storm for areas east.

A cold front heads in Friday late morning-midday...but we will still heat into the low 90s ahead of it. There is also a chance for a shower or storm with the front...although coverage now looks lower than previously thought (20%).

The front retreats Saturday. It will be quite warm to hot and HUMID. Heat Index near 100, and just 20% random storms PM.

We'll have to watch Sunday a little closer as a complex of storms rolls out of Oklahoma. There is enough support to keep them alive for areas DFW north. Highs again in the 90s.

By Monday...a decent disturbance combined with an approaching cold front will create more widespread showers and storms...some with heavy rain. Highs may again be in the 80s, and that may linger into Tuesday. If it does, flooding may become an issue.

Later next week the atmosphere looks to dry out and we might return to a more normal August...but that is more than a week away!
