Wave Goodbye to the Winter Chill!

"Texas Winter" is back!

The last of the freezing mornings will erode and finish in the low 50s with partly sunny skies and a south wind. That same south wind will continue tomorrow...a bit stronger to push highs into the 60s ahead of a cold front during the evening hours.

Winds will turn back to the north on the gusty side Thursday, to pull temps back below normal (low 50s) through Friday. Clouds will be on the increase that day as well...as moisture spreads back in ahead of a weekend storm system.

There will be a few showers Christmas Eve as stronger south winds pull in Gulf moisture. Temps may start cool that day, but will finish above 60, and will HOLD close to that level all night. Santa may need short sleeves for his deliveries :)

By Christmas day, a powerful storm in the Rockies will spread gusty Gulf winds and decent humidity into Texas. Highs now look like they will cross into the 70s, with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms in the morning. There may be some stronger storms (even potentially severe) late in the day into the evening hours...depending on whether we can heat up more than forecast. We'll need to watch....

We should dry out Monday, but stay above normal for a good part of next week.
