Sweet September Surprises on the way!
First, we need a cold front, which is running a little behind. That means it will still be in the low 90s as we heat up today. That will help trigger midday-PM storms (some heavy downpours) that may linger into the evening hours.
The front slowly heads through, so clouds will linger Fri AM before drying out. We'll have to keep at least some showers west & south of FTW. Temps may struggle to get to 90 tomorrow!
Drier air kicks in at night, so very pleasant lows in the 60s will be common (except the city) Saturday AM. Partly sunny skies, highs just above 90 will turn into more low-mid 90s Sunday.
By Labor Day, it will be more humid with at least some PM showers (esp DFW S/E) as we stay in the low 90s.
Next week looks warm for early September...generally mid 90s and humid.
