Not your "Normal" mid-summer forecast!
Rain chances and lower temps to rule this week....
Sun this morning combined with tropical moisture that has crept back in will produce showers and storms (40%) as we heat up into the mid 90s today. Widespread severe weather is not likely BUT any storm could produce brief gusty winds and heavy rain. Not everyone will see them, although outflow from storms could cool areas down late today.
A similar situation will exist Tuesday through Thursday, with highs in the mid 90s and afternoon heating producing at least scattered storms (30%). Even though temps will be lower, high humidity will keep it feeling like summer!
By the weekend, this pattern should let up as we creep back into the upper 90s to end July!
