Onward...and Upward!

No break...from the BAKE! Only UP from here...

The weak front that moved in yesterday (gusty winds, lower humidity) has left us a bit cooler this AM, but we will heat up into the mid to upper 90s again PM. Light east winds won't be enough to mix the air...and we have a pollution watch (orange) in effect. In addition, a disturbance will throw some high clouds in PM and MAY clip far northern areas (Red River) with an isolated PM shower (10%).

The next several days will see HIGH PRESSURE build in way above the ground, which will slowly build up heat. Upper 90s through Saturday, with triple digit temps becoming more likely to finish the weekend...into next week. Heat ADVISORIES will likely be issued by the weekend. There will also be a front in Oklahoma that will keep storms alive all weekend long...so we still need to watch to see if any can survive and make it to the Red River. Chances there are NOT zero for a stray storm, esp. Sunday night.
