It Was Nice While It Lasted!

Eyes to the skies....
The beautiful dry weather is about to change. Clouds will increase this AM along with stronger south winds, however any showers will likely stay far south this afternoon. Highs again in the low 80s, but with higher moisture in the air.
South winds continue overnight, and humid Gulf air will rush back into NTX. That may produce a brief sprinkle Monday AM.
Clouds will break PM (not as quickly east of DFW) and temps will soar well into the 80s...even crossing 90 west of FTW. A strong cap of warm air above the ground should prevent any showers, although one or two may be isolated in eastern counties.
Tuesday will be similar with a very warm & humid air mass in place. HOWEVER, this time a strong disturbance will arrive late in the day (after 5pm) to help break the cap in our WESTERN counties. This will trigger severe storms rapidly which may produce very large HAIL and damaging winds, along with possible tornadoes. Storms will then spread east into most of NTX during the evening and overnight.
Storms exit early Wed. and most of the day looks rain free as the air will have stabilized.
Thursday will again be very warm and humid with isolated storms possible (mainly west) however the next big event will set up for Friday PM-night. Depending on speed, that could be delayed until saturday, but it is safe to say that ONE of those time frames will again have severe storms.
