Facebook thinks we're all dead
No, all of your Facebook friends have not suddenly died and neither have you if you're reading this – but Facebook seems to think so.
Social media users started reporting a weird glitch on the popular site Friday morning that had Facebook user profiles being memorialized because they died.
The glitch added a banner on top of a Facebook profile that said, “Remembering [name]: We hope people who love [name] will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate his life.”
The glitch appeared to affect random profiles and even Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s profile. Some have already seen the bug go away.
A Facebook spokesperson told BuzzFeed News the problem was due to a bug that has since been fixed.
