Former Dallas Stars player wants to defend others against heart troubles

It's a game many sports fans remember, and a night a former Dallas Stars player will never forget. March 10, 2014, Rich Peverly collapsed on the bench. It happened right in the middle of the hockey game.

Peverly's heart stopped beating. For two minutes Peverly says he flatlined. A team of doctors for the Dallas Stars saved his life.

Now retired from hockey, Peverly is trying to raise awareness about heart conditions.  You can help Saturday, March 12 when the Dallas Stars host Pevs Protects Night benefiting the American Heart Association .
