Gov. Chris Christie suspends presidential bid

After two very disappointing showings at the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire Primary, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is going to bow out of the presidential race, according to Fox News.

Christie never gained the momentum needed to reach the top of the polls.  He had based his campaign strategy on a strong showing in New Hampshire and that did not pan out.

Christie will reportedly issue a statement Wednesday announcing his plans to end his campaign.

Political insiders say GOP rival Donald Trump, who also has a very straight-forward way of stumping, stole much of the thunder from Christie.

Trump won the New Hampshire Primary with 35.3 percent of the vote.  Christie finished sixth with 7.4 percent.

Christie's lasting impact on the campaign may be his ridiculing of Sen. Marco Rubio at the final debate before New Hampshire, which
