Bill Clinton campaigning for wife in Dallas Monday

Former President Bill Clinton will try to fire up black voters in North Texas to support his wife’s presidential bid.

He will appear at a “get out the vote” rally at Paul Quinn College Monday evening. The rally starts just before 6 p.m. in the student union.

Based on the current polls, Texas appears to be friendly terror for Hillary Clinton. Surveys of Democratic voters show her with a double digit lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Bill Clinton joined his wife on stage in Los Vegas Saturday night after she won the Nevada caucuses by a comfortable five point margin. It was a victory Hillary Clinton needed after virtually tying Sanders in Iowa and losing big in New Hampshire.

Doors open for Monday’s event in southern Dallas at 4:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.

This is the final week for early voting before the March 1 primary in Texas.
