Several Anna High School students were among those involved in a deadly multi-vehicle wreck near the Collin County town of Westminster Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities said four people were killed including 15-year-old Abigail Kendall, an Anna High School student, and 15-year-old Brianna Gesino, a former Anna ISD student. Both were backseat passengers in a Pontiac Grand Prix.

State troopers say the Pontiac, driven by 16-year-old Zoe Wilson, was northbound on State Highway 121 — a two lane road where the speed limit is 70 miles an hour. That's when a red Dodge pickup, driven by Anne Spann, slammed into the back of the Pontiac.

The Pontiac spun into the southbound lane where it was hit by a Ford Focus driven by 24-year-old Heather Trimble. Her parents, 51-year-olds Julie and Wayne Trimble, were both killed.

A GoFundMe page says Heather was 8 months pregnant and delivered baby Hadley. Her 4-year-old daughter Matilda escaped with minor injuries.

Troopers say the Ford Focus carrying the Trimbles, who are from Ivanhoe, northeast of Bonham, was also hit by a Ford F-450 utility truck.

A Subaru with a 17-year-old driver was also hit by the Grand Prix and rolled into a ditch.

An Anna ISD spokesperson released a statement saying, “One of our Anna High School students and a former Anna ISD student sadly passed away in a car accident, while two other AHS students were injured. The Anna ISD family extends our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of these students. We are praying for all the victims and their families in this accident and for a full recovery for the others involved.”

FOX 4 reached out to the families of the two teens who were killed, but both were understandably distraught and declined to talk. The other teens in the car were not seriously injured.

Troopers say they are still trying to determine if the driver of the Pontiac slowed and signaled properly and why the driver of the truck hit it from behind.
