Woodrow Wilson HS classes canceled for rest of week after fire

Classes at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas have been canceled for the rest of the week after a fire Tuesday morning.

Firefighters believe the small fire originated in a third floor bathroom closet. District officials were hopeful clean up from the fire would finish Wednesday, but more work remains and classes will not resume until Mon. Feb. 1.

Officials said smoke could be seen coming from the second and third floors of the building about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday. All 1,800 students and staff made it out of the building safely.
