Fort Worth police arrest suspect in 2 murders

FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police have arrested a man for two fatal shootings that happened early Monday morning.

The first murder was reported around 4:40 a.m. at the Motel 6 near Alta Mesa Boulevard and South Freeway. A woman was found dead in the lobby.

Witnesses were able to provide officers with a description of the gunman and that person was later arrested. His name has not yet been released because formal charges are still pending.

Sgt. Steve Enright said the suspect is also accused of killing a man at a house in the 2000 block of Daniel Street. That crime scene is just a few miles away.

The names of the victims have not yet been released.
