Woman found dead in Old East Dallas home
A woman's death is being investigated as homicide after she was found dead in her Old East Dallas home on Tuesday.
Dallas police responded to a call Tuesday afternoon in the 5400 block of Worth Street and discovered a woman's body inside. Police concluded at the scene she died from homicidal violence.
Neighbors said a constable came to evict someone in the home and that's when he smelled the body and called police.
“I'm going to want to know the truth about the story, because I know there was a dead person found in the house and I don’t know who or what the circumstances or what the situation is,” said neighbor Suzanne Lockridge. “I think it's someone's responsibility to inform the neighborhood so we don't have to fear an unknown invader.”
The medical examiner's office is working on identifying the body.
